It was the tenth anniversary of Lisa’s accident on Nov 4th, and a large gathering of students, friends, and professors from the University turned out for the event in which Clive Wilson spoke about Lisa, her love for life, and how she was fulfilling her dreams when she died. A number of videos of Lisa on her travels, skydiving and bungy jumping, were shown to demonstrate to the students her adventurous personality.
A presentation was made to Charlie Hoyle – who was awarded the Lisa Wilson Outstanding Achievement Award. Charlie graduated this year with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Film.
Vice Chancellor professor Van Gore spoke on behalf of the University thanking the Wilson family for their efforts in raising money to help young students. To date some 64 students have benefitted from the bursaries and over £230,000 has been raised in Lisa’s memory. This makes Lisa’s Legacy 230 years of education as each £1000 represents a year of a students life.
