A dissapointing crowd at the home of Eastleigh Football Club saw Southampton Solent University run out winners against Southampton University to win the Lisa Wilson Varsity cup. Former Saint Nicky Banger presented the trophy to the winning captain.
Lisathedaddy improving all the time
Lisathedaddy came home third in her maiden race at Kempton, against good company from top stables she hit the front two furlongs out only to be beaten into third place by a length and a neck. For the first time the horse was in the prize money and will now be able to get her handicap. After giving away weight to the horses in front of her this should be to her advantage.
Lisathedaddy ran well in her second race at Lingfield, coming with a strong finish to end up less than a length behind champion jockey Jamie Spencer on Herring, she was beaten into fourth place by Eddie Ahern top jockey at Lingfield riding Grenwich Village. Jockey Hayley Turner rode a great race and Lisathedaddy was giving away over a stone to each horse that beat her – after her third race she will be handicapped and this should work to her advantage. The Racing Post wrote “got off to a better start than on her debut and was another to keep on well in the final furlong. She is improving well with experience and looks capable of winning at this level too.”

Charity reaches over £96,000
Following the success of the Bee Gees Fever night charity donations reached the amazing figure of £96,000, this puts us well on target to achieve the magical sum of £100,000 hopefully with this years golf day at Wellow. This will be a truly wonderful Legacy to Lisa, one hundred years of education.
Bee Gees Fever night raises over £4000
One of the UK’s top tribute bands Bee Gees Fever performed to over 125 people on Saturday march 11th at Eastleigh Football Club. With donations, ticket sales, and a raffle, over £4000 was raised for the charity on what was a memorable night. Many people took the opportunity to dress up ’70s style and strut their funky stuff. Lead singer ‘Barry Gibb’ lookalike had performed in the final of Stars in Your Eyes.
We would like to thank everyone for their support.
Lisathedaddy runs well in her first race
Tricias four year old racehorse Lisathedaddy ran on strongly to finish fourth in her first outing at Lingfield. She was a little slow out of the stalls and lost several lengths at the start, about two furlongs out she responded to a flick of the whip to come from eleventh to fourth with a great run. Hayley Turner formerly champion apprentice and the Racing Posts Lady Jockey of the Year was wearing Tricias new racing colours which are navy background with yellow stars (and white sleeves) similar to the Lisa’s Legacy logo. The Racing Post wrote a great review of her performance and she is expected to do well in future.
