An England shirt signed by former Saint James Beattie was auctioned on behalf of the Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund at the DeVere Grand Harbour Hotel.
A generous donation of £600 was made by Alan Prebble of Silverlake Garages for this rare prize.
At a recent Eastleigh Football Club fund raising dinner two items were offered for auction on behalf of the Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund.
The first item was a signed print of F1 star Kimi Raikonen and his McLaren Mercedes car that was auctioned to Dave Bennetto of Mamouth signs for a mamouth £650.
The second item was a shirt donated by former Saints player Wayne Bridge who is now at Chelsea. This was eventually sold to Eastleigh Manager Paul Doswell who immediately donated it to the club where it now hangs in the sponsors lounge. We would like to thank both of you for your amazing support.
A dinner party hosted by Clive and Tricia Wilson raised £150 thanks to generous donations by the guests.
The Hampshire Chronicle Cup took place on Sunday 1st August at the Sparshatts Stadium at Eastleigh between local rivals Eastleigh and Winchester City.
The competition was set up by the Chronicle to support the club’s charity, and the Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund will benefit directly from the gate receipts and a raffle carried out at half time (figures yet to be disclosed.)
In a highly competitive match Robbie Matthews scored from a first half penalty, but the second half saw a second spot kick saved. Eastleigh had the edge throughout the game which gave both sides a good pre-season run out.
