Following the recent fundraising events including the Golf Day, a cycle ride, and Fontwell Park charity race day, the charity has now brought in some £240,000. This brings it ever closer to Clive and Tricia’s target of £250K. This will represent 250 years of education as each £1000 represents a year of a students life.
This will be a fitting legacy to Lisa, it’s amazing to think that nearly eleven years after her untimely death she is still able to help other young adults fulfil their educational dreams and ambitions in the way that Lisa did.”
– stated Clive Wilson, Lisa’s father
The 11th Lisa Wilson Golf Day will take place on July 27th at Wellow Golf Club in Hampshire where Lisa worked before she travelled to Australia. She also played golf there winning the Gilbert Trophy. Natalie McGrath, the UK’s number one Kylie Tribute performer, will be starring in this years cabaret. Lisa was a big Kylie fan and saw her live in Birmingham when she was 13 and again in Australia a few months before her tragic death.
Charles Davidson and Irana Lessi, friends of Trish and Clive, recently got engaged at their home in Florida. They cut the cake in the gazebo surrounded by 30 guests. Charlie had said they wanted to help raise some money on the night for Lisa’s charity and charged everyone $5 a head to enter a chipping competition and a “cornhole” competition (Bean bag game).
The gathering watched the bungy jump carried out by Lisa, Billy Connolly and Clive in New Zealand at the Nevis high wire.
Guests had a great evening and $230 (£150) was donated by them. We would like to wish Charlie and Rayna a long and happy life together.
